Meet Your Presenter: Annelise McCarthy
Annelise McCarthy is an international speaker, LinkedIn Top Voice, and communication expert specialising in confidence-led communication and leadership presence. Cassandra Horan is the President of National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) QLD, where she leads efforts to support women in construction and advocate for greater inclusion and participation across the industry. Cassandra has volunteered with NAWIC Queensland for more than five years, contributing to initiatives that open doors for women in trades and leadership roles while championing a construction sector where diversity is valued and women can thrive.
A senior leader with extensive experience in workforce development, Cassandra currently serves as Acting CEO of Smart Apprenticeship Solutions, Squad and Skill360, Group Training Organisations and Registered Training Organisations operating across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. Known for building high performing teams and developing future leaders, she brings strategic vision and a genuine commitment to gender equity, ensuring women at all career stages have the opportunities, networks and support they need to succeed.
Kelli Mewett is the Retail Operations Manager for Compass Pools Australia's retail division, operating as the authorised Compass Pools dealership in Newcastle. With more than 20 years of experience in the pool and spa industry, she has built a diverse career spanning sales, construction, operations, and strategic business planning.
Throughout her career, Kelli has helped guide the business through changing economic conditions, evolving consumer expectations, and industry challenges, continually adapting and refining strategies to support long-term success. A licensed Pool Builder and nominated Site Supervisor for Compass Pools Newcastle, she combines practical industry expertise with a hands-on leadership approach.
Kelli is passionate about people and believes that a business's greatest asset is its team. Her values-based leadership style focuses on fostering a positive workplace culture, supporting professional growth, and encouraging a healthy work-life balance. She believes that retaining experienced, knowledgeable staff ultimately delivers the best outcomes for both customers and the business.
A strong advocate for community engagement, Kelli is proud to be part of a business that embraces a pay-it-forward culture, most notably, Compass Pools' partnership with the McGrath Foundation through the Pink Compass Pool campaign has contributed more than $1 million to support individuals and families affected by cancer.
Zarah Littlejohn, Pink Tradie Ladie is the co-founder of CNH Pools and founder of SupportHER On Site. With over 8 years in the pool and spa industry and 3 years in construction, she has built a strong following by sharing the realities of working on site and advocating for greater support and retention of women in trades.
Through SupportHER On Site, Zarah works with businesses and industry leaders to create visible support, stronger workplace culture and better opportunities for women in trades and male-dominated industries. As a business owner, mother and industry advocate, she brings a practical, honest and refreshing perspective to conversations about the future of trades.
Michele Lena has built a diverse career spanning over 30 years across multiple industries. She began with 14 years in the compressor industry, including time as a National Parts Manager, before transitioning into the fitness industry, where she spent 17 years following her passion for health and wellbeing.
Michele later joined Reece Plumbing, progressing from counter to Assistant Manager over six years. For the past four years, she’s been part of Reece Irrigation & Pools, where she now works as Business Development Manager.
In her current role, Michele has driven strong double-digit growth across the WA market. She is known for her customer-first approach and ability to build lasting relationships, she brings a practical, people-focused perspective to everything she does and in 2025, Michele won the National Supplier Salesperson SPASA award.
