Local manufacturers celebrate Australian Made Week 2026
Local manufacturers are celebrating Australian Made Week this May 18 to 25, at the same time as the Australian Made logo has its 40th anniversary.
By buying Australian-made products, purchasers are supporting Australian workers, Australian innovation and helping build stronger local communities.
Clinton Alley, manager director of Fluidra Group Australia, says that, particularly in times of global uncertainty, councils and consumers should be looking to support local commerce.
“Fluidra is proud to support Australian manufacturing and the communities behind it,” he says.
He says Australian manufacturing remains critical to building resilient local supply chains, supporting skilled employment and delivering products specifically designed for Australian conditions.
“Across our product portfolio, Fluidra has invested in Australian manufacturing facilities, engineering capability and dedicated production spaces that continue to create skilled employment opportunities for local communities. This includes supporting specialised manufacturing teams, engineering professionals and a research and development site in Melbourne focused on innovation for the aquatic industry,” he says.
Fluidra’s Australian manufacturing network includes a range of industry-leading aquatic brands and products manufactured locally across the country including the largest Australian swimming pool and spa product manufacturing facility in Keysborough, Victoria, commercial pool equipment manufacturer Chadson Filters in Western Australia, Sunbather heating in Hastings, Victoria, and in Queensland they support the manufacture of major aquatic competition infrastructure.
Australian-made aquatic products not only strengthen local economies, but also provide clients with reliable supply chains, local technical expertise and products engineered specifically for Australian operating conditions.
The focus on local manufacturing also supports long-term industry capability, apprenticeships, skilled trades and regional employment opportunities across the aquatic and construction sectors.
