ACCC says immediately stop using recalled saunas supplied by Found Space Trading
A recall notice was issued for Far Infrared Saunas supplied by Found Space Trading Pty Ltd in July 2024. Since that time Found Space Trading Pty Ltd has ceased trading, being placed into liquidation, and so is unable to provide a remedy to customers.
The ACCC issued an update in May 2026 that consumers should stop using the saunas immediately.
Product description: Pre-fabricated, free standing Far Infrared Saunas. Includes a range of iHealth Saunas, Found–Space, Vortex branded 1–4 person saunas in Standard, Deluxe, Premium and Lite models, iHealth Saunas – 2 Person Premium Far Infrared Sauna, iHealth Saunas – 3 Person Lite Far Infrared Sauna, iHealth Saunas – 4 Person Premium Far Infrared Sauna iHealth Saunas – 2 Person Lite 1 Far Infrared Sauna, iHealth Saunas – 3 Person Premium Far Infrared Saunas.
Reason the product is recalled: There are two parts within the heating system of the sauna that may catch fire: faulty heater elements, and/or ceramic electrical connectors that do not have sufficient ventilation
The hazards to consumers: There is a risk of serious injury, death and/or property damage if the sauna catches fire. Fires with associated property damage have occurred.
What consumers should do: Stop using the sauna immediately.
Found Space is no longer trading and cannot provide a remedy to customers.
Dispose of the product in accordance with local regulations. Do not donate or resell the sauna.
Important message from the ACCC to consumers:
If you purchased the sauna from another retailer, you may have rights to a remedy from that retailer in accordance with the consumer guarantees, which may, in certain circumstances, entitle you to a refund or replacement product that is free of defects.
