World Drowning Prevention Day Competition helps increase awareness
World Drowning Prevention Day is held annually on 25 July. Through education and learning vital swimming and survival skills, children can be safer when in and around water.
To increase awareness of this important global advocacy day, Royal Lifesaving Australia has two fun competitions for children to enter and have an opportunity to win a Zoggs prize pack valued at $140. There are 20 prize packs up for grabs: 10 for each competition.
Colouring Competition
This competition is perfect for children aged 3 to 12 years.

Water Safety Tips
Be creative with your colouring. There are lots of little bits to colour. You can use any mixed media for colour such as pens, pencils, crayons, texta markers and paint.
Persuasive Writing Competition
This competition is great for children aged 8 to 14 years.
Write a persuasive text that convinces the reader "Why World Drowning Prevention Day is important." You can also incorporate the tagline "Anyone can drown, no one should" or the sub-theme "Unite to turn the tide on drowning.
Important! Remember to state your opinion clearly with at least three arguments supported by facts or personal experiences to convince the reader of your point of view.
