Following our session with sales guru Rachel, be inspired by our panel of industry leaders – all from a diverse range of backgrounds with a shared passion for investing in the growth of women in business.  They will share insights, experiences and strategies to help you grow as a confident and effective leader. Meet the panelists

Gina has been in the pool industry for more than 20 years with her friends considering her bit of a pool nerd!  My professional passion is encouraging people to be fulfilled by their work. Everyone deserves to feel supported and maintain work-life balance. I’m a proud advocate for diversity and inclusion in the workplace – removing prejudice, supporting working parents and women in our industry is important to me as a person and a leader.

Gina has worked her way through the ranks from her first role as admin position., secured with the help of a recruitment agency. From here I spent the next 17 years with the same company across roles in planning, scheduling, logistics and as area coordinator – gaining valuable frontline experience across operations and customer service.

I’ve particularly enjoyed building my knowledge across sales and retail which, complemented by my operational experience, gives me confidence to take on the role of General Manager.

Jo Ainsworth has over 30 years of experience in the pool and spa industry. Her journey began at Certikin, part of the Fluidra Group, where she honed her skills in business management and sales.  Jo successfully launched subsidiary operations in Europe, India, and the Middle East for Certikin before joining Waterco. She served as Waterco’s Export Director in Europe for nearly a decade before transitioning to the role of Chief Commercial Officer based at Waterco’s Australian headquarters.

Her expertise spans global market expansion and cultivating strategic partnerships, particularly in water treatment, swimming pools, and aquaculture.

Rainbow began her career in the pool industry 17 years ago and has progressively been involved in all aspects of the trade, including both the retail and construction sectors, as she moved to her current General Manager’s role leading the teams at Ultimate Pools and Poolside North Shore in NZ.  Rainbow is a registered Independent Pool Inspector for the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment, with an excellent understanding of regulatory compliance, and is a passionate advocate for promoting a high standard of professionalism and training within the swimming pool and spa industry.

Valentina is Managing Director for Fluidra APAC, leading transformation across the region to drive sustainable growth in the pool and wellness segments aimed at enhancing the lives of customers and communities through innovative and sustainable solutions that transform the way people enjoy water for recreation and health. She brings extensive experience to Fluidra with a strong vision for improving sustainability, ethical supply chains, climate change and renewable energy to drive ESG outcomes for our global communities.

Val has a passion for creating platforms for sustainable growth and prosperity, serving as Australia’s Representation at APEC for the Policy Partnership for Food Security and is focused on key issues including access to quality clean water, water preservation and re-use and water security as key platforms to tackling climate change, poverty alleviation and sustainable agriculture.

With her recent appointment to the SPASA Board, Valentina is looking forward to continuing to support the growth and expansion of the Pool and Spa Industry across the APAC region.

Meet Your Presenter: Rachel Bourke

Rachel Bourke is one of Australia’s leading sales trainers and mentors. Renowned for her System for Seamless Sales, a sales system for experts selling high-value products and services, Rachel teaches how to master the art of selling without ever sounding "salesy."
