Robert Savell of Hydrocare and Waterzone passes away
Swimming pool industry veteran Robert Savell has passed away. He was the owner of Hydrocare Pool Services Pty Ltd and Waterzone Australia which manufactured products for the commercial pool industry.
He was well known to SPLASH! readers and attendees of the SPLASH! Trade Expo, bringing numerous innovative products to the Australian market, and developing methods to inexpensively refurbish older public swimming pools and their plant rooms.
In 2025 he closed Hydrocare after 36 years of operation, but continued to operate Waterzone, as he fought his battle against cancer, which sadly he lost.
SPLASH! offers sincere condolences to Robert’s family, friend and colleagues.
The details for Robert’s funeral are:
Date: Tuesday 30th June 2pm.
Location: North Chapel, Pinegrove Memorial Park, Minchinbury.
After: A celebration of Robert’s life will be held from 4pm at the Smithfield RSL, 88 Smithfield Road, Smithfield.
