Aquatic Leisure Technologies receives certifications across three ISO standards

Aquatic Leisure Technologies (ALT) has achieved a significant certification milestone across quality, safety, environmental management and fibreglass pool manufacturing.

Following independent auditing by SAI Global Certification Services under JAS-ANZ accreditation, ALT achieved certification on August 20, 2026 across three internationally recognised management standards:

• ISO 9001:2026 – Quality Management

• ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management

• ISO 45001:2018 – Occupational Health & Safety

This was followed on September 3, 2026 by the granting of StandardsMark Licence SMK41900 to AS 1838:2021 – Swimming Pools: Premoulded fibre-reinforced plastics – Design and fabrication.

Managing director Lynley Papineau says that together, these certifications provide independent recognition of the systems that underpin ALT’s manufacturing operations and the standards applied to applicable fibreglass swimming pools manufactured by the company.

ALT was the first fibreglass pool company to achieve product certification back in 1984, which was followed by ISO 9001 certification in 1991.

Papineau says that achieving the three ISO certifications was about putting five decades of manufacturing experience, systems and processes through rigorous independent assessment against internationally recognised standards.

“For 50 years, we have continued to invest in how we design, manufacture and support our pools. Quality has always been fundamental to our business, but today that extends well beyond the product itself to how we operate, how we protect our people and how we manage our environmental responsibilities.

“Achieving independent certification across all three ISO standards gives our customers, employees, dealers and industry partners confidence that these are not simply standards we claim to uphold, they have been independently assessed and verified.”

ALT is the only Australian pool manufacturer certified to the four standards.
